Cold chamber die casting is used for metal which cannot be used in hot chamber, these include metals like aluminium , zinc alloys , magnesium and copper. The process begin when metal is melted in a separate furnace and a precise amount of molten is transported into an unheated shot chamber. The disadvantage of cold chamber is the cycle time will be slower compare to hot chamber.
